The Forms of a SteamID

One Steam account has one number, and games and tools write it in different ways. Here is the same account, STEAM_0:0:5431, in each form:

SteamID64
76561197960276590 Seventeen digits. Steam profile links and the Steam Web API use it, and it is the address of every player page on Mizan.
SteamID
STEAM_0:0:5431 What Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source and most ban panels print. The middle digit is 0 or 1, and the last number is half the account number.
SteamID (CS2)
STEAM_1:0:5431 The same numbers starting STEAM_1, as Counter-Strike 2 and CS:GO print them.
SteamID3
[U:1:10862] The account number in brackets, as Team Fortress 2's status command prints it.
SteamID32
10862 The account number alone, sometimes called the account id or friend code.
Hex (FiveM)
steam:110000100002a6e The SteamID64 in hexadecimal, as FiveM writes a Steam identifier.

Converting by Hand

Start from STEAM_0:X:Y. The account number is Y times 2, plus X: STEAM_0:0:5431 is 5431 × 2 + 0 = 10862. Add 76561197960265728 to the account number for the SteamID64: 76561197960276590.

A custom profile link, like steamcommunity.com/id/name, has no number in it. Steam has to look the name up, so the converter asks Steam for it.

Check the Account

A SteamID is how ban lists name a player. The player lookup shows every ban on the account under the name of the list that issued it, and the VAC ban check explains Steam's own record.
