How to get a ban on your record corrected or removed, and who decides.

Who Decides a Ban
Each ban on a record belongs to the community that published it. Mizan copies that community's public list and follows it: when the community lifts or removes a ban, Mizan marks it as ended. Mizan can't overturn another community's ban, and we don't judge whether one was deserved.
Dispute a Ban From a Community's List
- Look up your account and find the ban. Each one shows under the name of the community that published it.
- Appeal to that community the way it asks, usually through its Discord, forum or the ban page itself. The communities page links each list's public page.
- When the community lifts or removes the ban, Mizan marks it as ended the next time it reads the list. For most lists that is within a day.
Bans an organization added through the API work the same way: appeal to that organization, and it ends the ban on Mizan when it lifts it.
When Mizan's Copy Is Wrong
Contact us if:
- the community lifted or removed a ban, and Mizan still shows it in force two days later
- Mizan shows a ban, a reason or a date that the community's list doesn't
- a ban is on the wrong account
Tell us the account, the ban and a link to the community's list. We check it against the list and fix our copy. We may ask you to prove the account is yours.
Mizan's Own Marks
A record can carry two marks besides its bans.
- Cheater. Mizan's anti-cheat caught the account cheating on Justified's servers, or a community banned it for cheating.
- Conduct. A community banned the account for how it played, such as random killing or toxicity, and the ban is in force or was given in the last year. Justified's staff can also give this mark.
A mark that comes from a community's ban goes when the ban ends, so dispute the ban with that community as above. For a detection by Mizan's anti-cheat or a mark Justified's staff gave, open a ticket on Justified's Discord. A staff member goes through what Mizan found and can clear your record.

You can also ask us to correct, restrict or delete what Mizan holds about you, or object to us publishing it. The privacy policy explains those rights and how we answer.
